Mapping:
Santa Monica & Ballona Watershed Green Map, first and second editions. Duvivier Architects and the GreenMap organization. Content research and writing, and cartographic advising for a map of the environmental features of a subwatershed in Los Angeles that has some of the last remaining coastal California wetlands.

Project Research:
Project Dossiers. Rod Rose at The JCM Group. Long-term project to inform planning efforts and a book: conducted research on major private and public projects to create project dossiers with information sheets summarizing lessons learned from projects.

French Chateauesque Style. Duvivier Architects. Research report and photodocumentation of a style popular for multi-family residential in 1920s Los Angeles architecture. Work performed as part of the design process for an apartment building in the Los Angeles area.

Market Share Analysis. Saint John's Health Center. (This study went directly to the client, the research was performed by our principal, Camille Kirk, while employed with SMP Architects). A report on a hospital's main market share competitors for a specific medical service, possible partnering options with those competitors, and an analysis of possible payment trends for that particular medical service.

Design Elements Analysis. SMP Architects. (This was an in-house study for use on health-care projects, done by our principal, Camille Kirk, while employed with SMP Architects). An analysis of scientific studies on the relationship between illness/post-surgery healing times and environmental factors such as light types and levels, views of nature, colors, and noise mitigation, among other factors. Study was undertaken to determine cost feasibility of providing additional design elements.
